Tim Pychyl here for this podcast. I called Gavin to chat before he got out for a training run tonight. We talked about his goals for early-fall training, the Veterinary visit this weekend, as well as the qualities in his lead dogs.

For this podcast, I used a phone adapter for my digital recorder, which meant that I got a mono recording. I hope it's clear.

This is a special broadcast featuring the world champion musher, Lance Mackey. At the invitation of Ray and Janice Erker, Lance traveled down from Alaska to join mushers in Ontario again this year in Bonfield, Ontario. This podcast captures a small part of a very special weekend with Lance. In these introductory remarks, Lance speaks about "Appetite and Attitude" in his approach to long-distance dog sled racing. We know you'll enjoy this podcast.

A special thanks to Ray and Janice Erker for organizing and hosting an incredible event again this year!
